Find and Replace Text

Replace matching text with optional case-sensitive matching.

Calculations happen locally. We do not send your values to our server.

Example

Finding “brown” and replacing it with “red” changes every matching occurrence in the entered text.

Calculation method

The find phrase is treated as literal text rather than a regular expression, then every case-sensitive or case-insensitive match is replaced.

Important notes

An empty search phrase is rejected. Review the output before replacing important source material because all matches change at once.

Frequently asked questions

Can matching ignore capitalization?

Yes. Turn off case-sensitive matching to replace uppercase and lowercase variants.

Can I use regular expressions?

No. Search characters are escaped and treated as an exact literal phrase for predictable behavior.

Is the original text saved anywhere?

No. Finding and replacing happens only inside the current browser page.
