Calculation method
The new serving count is divided by original servings to obtain a factor, then the ingredient amount is multiplied by that factor.
Important notes
Units are preserved, not converted. Cooking times, pan sizes, seasoning, and leavening may not scale linearly with ingredient quantities.

Does it convert cups to grams?
No. It scales the numeric amount only because mass conversion depends on ingredient density.
Should baking time use the same factor?
Not necessarily. Cooking time and temperature depend on thickness, equipment, and food safety rather than servings alone.
